Antenna Mount 2W KU Band BUC
Although labeled as a Gilat BUC, it is almost certainly manufactured for Gilat by New Japan Radio (NJRC). This series of Block Up Converters are simple and rugged designed to mount on the antenna. They are lightweight and impervious to weather conditions operating for many years without problems.
The 24VDC power for the amplifier is provided via the IFL cable as is the 10 MHz reference. If either of these are not provided the BUC will not work.
On the test bench this BUC moved very easily to 3 Watts.
